Play :
List in the Navigation screen :
You can choose among five methods to start playing music, web radio or video. Select the desired line of music (or radio or video), and :
- Click the play button,
- Press "ENTER" on your keyboard,
- Press the play shortcut button on your keyboard (if it get it),
- Double-click on the desired line of music (or radio or video),
- Right click on the desired music (or radio or video) and choose "Play".

Windows explorer :
It is also possible to start playing music (or video or external playlist) from the explorer windows :
- Double-click on a file (CoinsHifi will open automatically if the type of this file is assigned to CoinsHifi, see
settings of associated files),
- Right click on a files list and choose to read with CoinsHifi,
- Drag & drop from the explorer to CoinsHifi. This solution is faster than the one proposed above.
Of course, only the musics (videos and externals playlists) readable with CoinsHifi are accepted, otherwise a message will appear in the zone
informations bar under the
Navigation screen.
CoinsHifi explorer :
Open the CoinsHifi explorer (see
function keys).
This explorer works like the one of Windows (see above).
Track previous/next :
Depending of the current screen and the current play, these keys perform the following functions :
Change the current track for playback modes
music or
CD :
- Previous track :
Shuffle mode is active : the previous track button lets you retrieve the previous listened music in shuffle. The musics listened with shuffle mode are stored.
Shuffle mode is idle : this button is reading the previous music in order of the list.
- Next track :
Shuffle mode is active : the next track button starts playing a music chosen at random.
Shuffle mode is idle : this button is reading the next music in order of the list.
Fast forward/reward : The buttons fast forward and fast reward, have 2 speed : after 2 seconds pressed key, the rate increases again. The fast forward/reward can also be achieved through the
progress bar or through the
keyboard.
Change the current channel for the
radio : Click the button next track or previous track. For more details about change a channel see
web radio.
Correcting the record : Click the button next track or previous track for moving the active cursor. See
record the radio for all the details about this window.
Record :
CoinsHifi is capable of 2 types of registration :
- Record the radio : if CoinsHifi is reading a radio, when you click the record button it starts to record this radio.
- Record a sound stream directly from the sound card : In all other cases (CoinsHifi reads an audio file or video or even not read any file) by clicking the record button starts the recording of sound from the sound card.
Use the record button to start / stop the
recording.
The buttons Stop and
Validate can also stop the recording.
The button
Cancel cancel the recording.
The format and encoding quality parameters can be set, see
parameters/settings. CoinsHifi recommends encode with
Ogg Vorbis.
