Parameters



CoinsHifi has 8 screens settings :
- Setting of the notification,
- Choice of associated files,
- Setting of the oscilloscope,
- Choice of the icon for the files associated to CoinsHifi,
- Format and encoding quality,
- Setting of the speaker system,
- Choice of skin,
- Choice of the sound card.

Click the button Param and select the settings you want to access.

The settings windows are automatically validated for any click on a valid function key.
To exit without taking into account the changes : press the Cancel button or Escape on your keyboard.
To validate and close a window : press the Set button or F9 on your keyboard.



Oscilloscope



Refresh rate :
The left side of the screen allows you to adjust the refresh rate of the oscilloscope, depending on the capabilities of your computer.
The setting of the refresh rate is immediately reflected in the oscilloscope, you can immediately test the effect without closing the window.

Colors :
The right side of the screen allows you to adjust the color of each section of the oscilloscope.
Select the section you want to change the color by clicking on the appropriate section, this section then flashes. Change the color to your liking through the 3 sliders, corresponding to primary colors (Red, Green and Blue).
Adjusting the color is immediately reflected in the oscilloscope, you can immediately test the colors without closing the window.
The button Default values restores the default color for each section.



Notification



Once a new music starts, the notification opens beside the time (systray) under the following parameters :

Display duration :
Choose the period during which the notification is displayed (1 to 10 seconds).

The notification appears in the following conditions :
- If CoinsHifi is hidden : ie if you are not on CoinsHifi,
- Always : in all cases,
- Never : notification is never displayed.

Three display modes are available :
- Display with slide effect : the display and the disappearance of the window are made gradually, the window goes out and disappears in the taskbar,
- Transparency effect : if the slide effect is activated, the window appears and disappears gradually with a transparency effect,
- Text scrolling : if the album name or music is longer than the notification, the text scrolls so you can read all the text.



Files associated



Select the extensions of file types that you want CoinsHifi is the default player.
CoinsHifi supports the following types of files :
- Audio : wav, wma, mp2, mp3, au, ram, rm, ogg, CD audio, ...
- Video : mov, ogm, avi, divx, mpe, mpg, mpeg, asf, wmv, mp4, ...
- Playlist : pls, m3u et asx.



Icon



Select the icon you want for the files associated to CoinsHifi (see above part to select these files).



Encoding



The music, created by recording a radio or CD ripping are encoded within the parameters of this screen.

Format : Two encoding formats are available : Ogg (recommended format) and Mp3.

Quality : Set the quality you want to give your songs. More quality is high, more music has better quality and file size is important. In contrast, more the quality is low, more music has poor quality and file size is reduced. The default quality is 6,5. The recommended range of quality is indicated by the blue zone.



Speaker system



Choice of speaker system : Click "Speaker system" and choose the speaker system you want apply, for example quadraphonic, Dolby Prologic 5.1, 7.1, ...
Beware, the speaker system selected must be consistent with the setting of your sound card, see the control panel of your sound card.

Calibrating of each speaker : Select the desired speaker (click) and then move the cursor to change the amplification.
